Support
One address for everything: support@easel.art. If something went wrong, tell us which iPhone you are on, which look you were making and roughly when. With that we can usually find the picture in the logs.
Delete your pictures
Open the Gallery, choose a picture, delete it. That removes the photograph it was made from, every picture made from that photograph, and all of their records, from Easel's servers. The confirmation says so: “Delete this photo and its pictures?”
To have everything held for your device removed instead, email support@easel.art and say so. Do it before you delete the app: deleting the app removes nothing from our servers and may take the stored session with it. The privacy policy sets out what is held and for how long.
Report a picture
If Easel produced something that should not exist, or you believe a photograph of you has been used without your permission, send us the details at support@easel.art. Say what you saw and when. We remove content that breaks the terms of use and we stop serving devices that keep breaking them.
Questions people ask
How do credits work?
One credit makes one picture, whichever look you choose. No look costs more than another. Your first three are free; after that, credits are bought in the app in packs of 15, 30 or 70. They never expire, and there is no subscription.
My picture failed. Was I charged?
No. If the picture never arrives, the credit goes back automatically, every time, without your asking and with no limit on how often.
The picture arrived and it isn't right.
Tap Not quite right on the result and say what was wrong. Easel then offers you the credit back — the first five times on any device, across all looks. After that we still record what you tell us, but no further credit is offered. If you have had a bad run of them, write to us and say so.
Can I get my money back for a pack?
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too: use Apple's Report a Problem page. We cannot reverse an Apple charge. Credits themselves are covered above.
I restored purchases and my credits did not come back.
Restore purchases redeems a pack Apple charged you for that never reached Easel. It is not a way to move a balance: credits live on the iPhone that bought them, not in an account, so a new phone starts at zero. If Apple charged you and the credits never arrived on that same phone, restore first, then email us with the date of the purchase.
Which photo works best?
A clear, well-lit one with the face reasonably large in the frame. Sunglasses, deep shadow, heavy motion blur, a face turned well away from the camera or a face that is tiny in a wide scene will all cost you the likeness. Two people are fine; a school photograph is not. Most looks work on anything — a dog, a street, a plate of food — and the ones that need a face are hidden when Easel cannot find one.
